Creuza de Mà Farm
The technological, social and cultural changes connected with globalization, deeply modified in the last decades our relationship with food and with the world of "primary production". Paradoxically, it became harder to know and appreciate the environment surrounding us, who is producing our food and how, and how it arrives onto our tables
Creuza de Mà farm organizes various educational activities, which help children to enrich what they learnt at school with the experience gained on the territory where they live. Through these activities, we aim at giving the children the feeling of being part of the environment which surrounds them.
Both offered include:
Tour around the farm holding, exploration of the greenhouses and the vegetable garden, activities concerning “taste education” and the use of senses, games concerning relation and socialization.
The garden of the perfumes: learning through the sensorial experience.

Educational farms were created to help children to discover this universe, stimulating an active approach towards nature and more attention towards the environment, the value and the origin of the things. Our farm joined the “Liguria Region Educational Farms Network” in 2005, after taking part in the specific training “Culture and flavours of Liguria… culture that feeds”.
During the year 2007/2008 we invite primary schools to take part in our project “From the garden of fragrances to the table…, one day in Agritourism farm”.
It is possible to choose between spending the half or the whole day in farm. In the first case, the children will take part in some activities in our “fragrance garden” and in the vegetable garden. In the second case, children will eat in the farm and will take part in the transformation of our vegetable products, for example in the preparation of home-made pasta.
